Canna Coco Professional Plus — RHP-Certified Buffered Coco

PLEASE NOTE BULKY SHIPPING SURCHARGE OF £6 PER BAG APPLIES TO BAGS OF GROW MEDIA

Canna Coco Professional Plus is the benchmark coco substrate: 100% coco flakes from specially selected prime Indian coconuts, processed without ever touching the outdoor ground so the finished bag is free of weeds and soil diseases. It's washed in fresh water — not seawater — so no salts are present, and it arrives fully buffered, which eliminates raw coir's habit of stealing nutrients from your feed. Canna's buffering process effectively "pre-programs" the medium, so every bag behaves the same way, grow after grow.

The structure gives a water/air ratio of 73%/23% — plenty of moisture held for the roots while air still moves freely through the medium. A 45% wood-cellulose fraction in the flakes means the structure holds up over time rather than compacting, which is also why this coco can be re-used across multiple cycles and makes an excellent potting-mix improver when you're finally done with it.

The RHP quality mark — and beyond it

Coco Professional Plus carries the strictest R.H.P. quality mark, and Canna states the product goes well beyond that standard. The RHP inspection isn't a spot-check on the finished bag — it covers the sourcing and processing of the raw materials all the way through to packing. In practical terms: consistent EC, consistent structure, no surprises between bags.

How to use it

Use pots of at least 5 litres — the larger the pot, the more stable the root environment.
Feed with coco-specific nutrients from day one: the medium is buffered, not pre-fertilised. Canna Coco A&B is the two-part base feed designed for exactly this substrate, used through both veg and flower.
Exact strengths for every stage are in our Canna feed chart guide, which covers the full Coco schedule.
Re-using it? Flush through with pH-adjusted water between cycles and keep an eye on EC — the structure is built to last several grows.

Why growers choose it

The most consistent coco on the market — buffered and pre-programmed for identical behaviour bag to bag
R.H.P. certified from raw material to bag, and beyond the standard by Canna's own testing
Salt-free from fresh-water washing — no flushing needed before first use
73/23 water/air ratio: hydro-grade feeding precision with soil-like forgiveness
Reusable across multiple cycles thanks to the durable flake structure

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to wash or buffer this coco before using it?
No — that's the point of Professional Plus. It arrives washed salt-free in fresh water and fully buffered, ready to plant into straight from the bag.

Which nutrients do I use with it?
Coco-specific ones — soil nutrients are formulated for a different medium. Canna Coco A&B is the matched base feed, run through the whole cycle. New to coco? The Coco Starter Kit bundles everything to run this bag from day one.

Is this the same as Canna Coco Natural?
No — Professional Plus is the premium, fully buffered and RHP-certified grade. It's the variant we stock because it's the one the overwhelming majority of coco growers actually want.

Can I mix it with soil?
Yes — because the flake structure resists compacting, it works well as a structure and drainage improver in soil mixes, and Canna recommends it as a potting-mix improver after its growing life too.

How is the 50L bag shipped?
